First off, she's been on OMP since September of last year. That's long enough to have come up with at least one shoot.
Second, you're right that some will help and some won't. But she has at least two responses from a year ago. You have to wonder if she followed up with those people.
Finally, OMP is fraught with fake managers and photographers who want to "help" by doing high-priced worthless "portfolios."
The best bet is to take a few decent snapshots and head downtown to check out the real commercial agencies. The girl is only 45 minutes from downtown Chicago. Forget the OMP bull. Go for the real thing. Find out what the real agencies have to offer.
Oh, and one other thing...
She should get her parents involved. She's only 17.
