Hi Bob. You'll need a bit more than a headshot if you want serious responses. You'll need to provide ACTUAL "Use" agreements from the photographers AND the models which specifically state the intent of your efforts. Using 'likenesses' for the purpose of publishing can be a tricky venue.
Digitally modifying the images has liabilities of its own.
Of course, you can just swipe stuff off the web and likely none of it'll ever see light of day, too... Just do like everyone else and cut-n-paste. You can always apologize later and say, "I didn't know."
