, mostly because I'm sorta in the same situation. I haven't found exactly the area I really want to do. I have worked with several models and the results always seem to end up close to what I was shooting for but not exactly. Occasionally I hit the mark I wanted but more often than not I am left wanting.
I look at some other professionals that have been shooting for a long time, from landscapes to products to fashion and art and I am in awe of nearly everything about their work. Shadows and lighting is the most curious thing to me and it seemingly is used in the most awkward ways in a fashion shot. I often just go looking at what is being done out there by those that I feel are the best and sometimes I find a link to someone elses work that is simply brilliant.
In my case I will keep looking for my nitche, I however am very much in the catagory of wanting to be a fashion shooter. In the meantime I'll keep plugging away at it.
