Twice a year I run a free offer on my website. It generally coincides with each new semester at the Barbison School here in Milwaukee. They are very good here about warning the models and I try to help by posting updated info on my site. Unfortunately this applies to a lot of other areas too. I am actually a college music professor by profession, since I was a performer for years I like to offer folks a free place to post with no strings. I wish I would have been offered that when I was new in the field. This allows for a safe place to post and get noticed. Well, enough of my ramblings let us cut to the chase. I think all pie eyed, head in the stars, aspiring youths whether they are models, musicians, photographers, or what ever should heed this. The vultures always go after the inexperienced. Remember if you have to pay instead of getting paid it is not really a reputable agent or agency. Real agents take percentages and do not charge over the top, they do not take your prints, music or recordings without something offered as well, and always have your work copyrighted. Especially you models who are in the music business too. Musicians seem to like to just give away their craft. Unfortunately when you do this everyone else gets the credit but you. Protect yourself physically and financially. Have a great day.
