I don't welcome criticism.

I always get a kick out of it when some self-important photographer launches into an dissertation about rules of composition and lighting as part of an unsolicited critique of someone else's work.
Rules are a crutch for artists who have no natural eye for an appealing image. They are like tone deaf musicians. They can read and play music, but they have no capacity to add anything to it or even to recognize an exceptional performance.
A photographer who appreciates good composition and lighting will know when he's missed the mark and will constantly strive for improvement. He's his own worst critic.
The idea that creativity can be conjured up from some formula is laughable. Originality is the exact opposite of following the rules.
My philosophy is this: I have only one critic to satisfy. Me. I'm pleased if others like my pictures, but if you think my work sucks, keep it to yourself. I have no interest in living my life according to your rules.
