Raquel, there are some places you need to be if you want to get a lot more exposure.

Go to http://www.musecube.com/ to get a free portfolio. Also, http://www.onemodelplace.com/.

The choices you'll make there for the kind of work you want to do will be much more specific and will help you get the right kind of jobs.

You're doing the right thing by reaching out via forums. A static modeling page won't help you much if you don't make it clear you're available for work.

Finally, you might think a little about your approach. People who will be ready to pay you to work don't want somebody they will "show around." They want somebody who is dependable and works hard. It's great to have a good attitude, to make the work seem easy. But it is work.
