Get a thermal. A laser printer would be useful for speed or volume work, but they are maintenance intensive. I'm a ten year veteran of mid and high volume copiers. I'd have a grayscale laser, but not a color, especially for photo work. If you wanted to produce colored documents, newsletters, etc. that would be something else.
