Even as I was responding originally, I was weighing the pros and cons of this suggestion. On one hand, these threads typically turn ugly. The scamsters don't like being questioned, so they respond with anger and defamation. I hate this kind of crap cluttering up the forum. It's difficult to edit these threads without deleting the meat and potatoes, i.e., the hard questions that never get answered.

On the other hand, one of the guiding principles of this forum is to inform, to make clear the good and bad of what's out there, to pass along knowledge of right, wrong, ethical, moral, and outright illegal. From that perspective, there is value to allowing those posts to be made, which in turn allows those of you who are knowledgeable to question and expose.

What I need to do as a moderator is to learn to be patient, to wade through the thread post by post, delete the defamatory counter attacks, but leave as much of the real goods in place. That was sort of the approach I took with the thread below. The responses that speak directly to the issues raised are still there. The garbage that served no meaningful purpose was removed.

Some will cry "foul" at the censorship, but that will mostly come from those who support the deception, those who propagate lies and spew garbage. In the end, I was and will continue to be as fair as I can be, allowing them to post their claims and answer critics, but not allowing their outrageous personal attacks toward whomever has the "marbles" to question their motives, methods, and madness.
