Lighting the Intimate Nude

Learn and experiment with studio lighting techniques in the company of our staff of professional photographers. The objective of this class is to acquaint participants with simple and effective lighting and camera techniques to capture the intimacy and mystique of the human figure. The models for this session are specially selected professional artist models experienced in posing for fine art painters and sculptors.

This is a “hands on” type workshop. Lecture time will be kept to a minimum in order to maximize individual creative opportunity. Learn by doing. Participants should expect to take turns shooting from right after the short introduction and demonstration until the end of the session, so bring film accordingly. Individual instruction will be available upon request at no additional charge. Large Format Photography will be demonstrated if interest warrants. Please indicate your interest in Large Format Photography at the time of registration.

Bring a camera, tripod, sync chord and ASA 160 color, ASA 100 B&W film or digital media. Professional lighting equipment will be supplied by the workshop. Soft boxes and Octabank lighting use will be demonstrated by me and my studio assistant . Polaroid cameras will be available for loan. Check web site below
