As this is mentioned on the link that was posted... You don't need a VISA to go to France, but you do need a passport. I would expect anyone who is really bringing models there would know that. Most foreigners need a VISA to come here, though.

Although I think that Mr Golden's statement that full-time, established, legitimate companies don't come to the web looking for talent is a huge over-statement. After all many of the photographers here run 'full-time, established, legitimate companies'. There are more big companies finding people on the web all the time. Although his statement would certainly hold true for mainsteam fashion/commercial modeling work.
