This image is taken with a thirty five year old F No Plastic just brass. Does anyone shoot with a "D" thats over say 3 years old? Oh yea the technology is improving at such a rate that a 3 year old digital is obsolete. Image is of a toy store {closed} that sold toys that didn't need batteries, that kids had to think creatively to use, that didn't encourage killing. Well pop your lean cusine in the micro wave, I'm sure it is as good as a home cooked meal or at least "goodnuff." old fart creating art

: I guess crunch/gurgle is better than snap/crackle/pop?
: Once upon a time, I talked with a Nikon dude about the relative expense of making various cameras. At the time, the F2 was about to finish its life, and the F3 was ready to be unveiled. The fellow said that making a Nikon F was perfectly feasible, if shooters were willing to spend around $1,000 for a camera body. He said the materials and manufacturering costs for the purely mechanical camera would be that high. That was the early 80s, as I remember. Seems we could buy a new S2 with the inflated dollars that would equal $1,000 from then.
: Plus, who knows how much the materials for an F would cost now. That might boost the price into the $3,000 to $4,000 range.
: BTW, please feel free to offer any other pronouncements, points of view or other commentary you have lying about. It's a lot more fun to toss around some what-if scenarios than to play with the same ol' pretty pictures all the time.
