Here's why nude vs. not nude vs. glam doesn't compute for me.
It's like saying lemon vs. lime vs. Porsche.
The three aren't on the same spectrum.
Glamour can include nude, but doesn't have to. Nude can contain glam, but doesn't have to. So, there's no logical way to slide along a spectrum from nude to not nude and come up with glamour.
Your original post said some will shoot "implied nude" or "glamour." Glamour is this pretty thing with sexy overtones. Nude doesn't have to be sexy. Implied nude may be sexy or not.
Glamour, it seems to me, has little or nothing to do with the nude vs. not-nude discussion.
If you specifically want somebody to do glamour nudes (a subset of both), just ask if they'll do it. Most of the time, they'll just quote you a rate, and you're done.
Don't try to over-think this. It'll only make things more difficult.
You're the one trying to find models for a specific type of shoot, whatever that might be. Even if a model approaches you for TFP, for instance, you need to get some images that work for you. Ask for them. With great specificity. Let the gal know what you want and, if possible, what the ultimate use will be. She'll decide yes or no.
Trying to couch things in some phrases that will attract models is a time-waster. Show them what your skill level is, tell them what you want to do. The models who will be comfortable doing that will accept your offer. Those who aren't comfortable won't. Simple, quick, easy.
Believe me, models prefer open, direct communication when it comes to shoots. They're not being seduced by photographers. They're doing work.
We want to be polite and respectful. But there's no need to get inside somebody's head unless she specifically says she wants to shoot that way. Not to worry. The few models who really want to get into lots of psychology will make it clear.
A number of my model friends have worked with Ken Marcus. My advice would be to talk with some models who've worked with him recently, and then put the article in context.
I don't know if you saw the fairly recent post by Mayan Lee where her arms and legs were Photoshopped out of a photo, and bizarre distortions added. (It should still be on the board.) In the case of an image like that, it's incumbent on the shooter to share his vision and agenda with the model. Otherwise, she'll feel thoroughly betrayed when the photo comes out.
Generally, though, keep it simple, sir. Your life will be a lot more pleasant.
