I haven't studied English grammar since, well, before most of our readers were born. I have studied grammar in other languages, but it's not clear to me that Turkish, Russian or Japanese rules apply to this problem.
So please give this tired old head an example of how a verb (not a gerund or verbal) could be substituted for "copyrighted" in the original example.
