Hi,

Although this may sound kinda dumb but spend as much as u can afford. One thing you may also wanna think about is how expandable will your new system be. A 1G processor, 500mb+ ram, 60G Hard drive, a fast CD burner. You might also wanna think about the triple E port on apple computers it's a fire wire port. Think about how you are gonna down load the image from the cards to your hard drive. Also storage is important. A 60G drive is huge but it will not take long to fill with huge image files.

I shoot with the Kodack pro14n. It's big and has a huge file but the images, when making a 20X24 gliceen print, are really nice i think. The Cannon D30 and 10D are pretty impressive. I have seen images used togerther with a program called genuine fractal sp?)to make large 300+dpi prints. The thing is that these cameras have been out for a bit now. I wonder when the next generation of digital cameras will be out on the market. That i guess we'll have to be checking the home pages of the makers of digital cameras.

good luck
arri
