Bill, tell your friend to be on the lookout in the local pawn shops that's where likely this equipment may end up. I would also talk to these shop owners to call the law when the items show up there, but I just don't know how honest these business people are. I had a misfortune too. A Midle Eastern model badgered me for four months to shoot with her on TFP basis, when I finally agreed, she brought an female and a male companion with her. I thought that was good, now I don't have to tuck in clothing labels and putting my hands where they don't belong. As it turned out the model was intimidated by the male companion watching her do her thing for the camera, I asked him to wait in the office area (I forgot my camera bag was there too with my loptop). While I was busy inside he helped himself to my compact flash cards and rechargable batteries, things that can be pocketed inconspicuously so I won't notice. Sure enough I found them missing the next day, spent the whole day searching and thinking that couldn't happened to me. The value was less than my $500 deductible so I just absorbed the loss and grew wiser. I confided my loss with my close friends and some suggested that the shoot was a ploy to get the Trojan Horse inside. I though I share this so others can learn from my naiveness.
