This is, of course, a horrible scenario.
I have always suppported the concept of chaperones, though I ask models to use common sense in this area. I don't realy want to work with you if your jealous boyfriend is going to second guess every shooting angle...
I have only had a couple of bad chaperone experiences, which I consider to be minor in relation to the broader issue of model security.
I have a "chaperones room" in my studio, equipped with VCR, Nintendo, coffee machine and coffee table books. One model's boyfriend likes to come in with her just to play video games. (She won't let him have a deck at home...;o)
