I’m making this post with the express consent of the model involved but for obvious reasons, I have been asked to keep all identities confidential at this time and I will not divulge them under any circumstances.

There is a Georgia model, a long time dear friend, a highly experienced model who is known on the forums and who chose to go to a shoot without a ‘chaperon’. Being experienced, she made all of the appropriate checks, references, address and so forth. She routinely takes a ‘chaperon’ to shoots with photographers she does not know, but this time ....she didn’t. Her regular chaperons were not available and after all, the guy passed her screening checks. The pay was good and she needed the money, and after all , he passed her extensive checks.

The only problem was, he used someone else’s identity. She went to the shoot in a hotel room and she went alone, after all he passed all of her stringent checks. She was beaten, she was abused and then she was raped. Her screams brought the hotel staff into the room, so they are witnesses. Investigation determined the “photographer” used one name with her, but had several other identities in his billfold. The rape was planned. The “photographer” is in police custody and charges have been filed. One predator is being removed! But there are more out there.

I know some photographers are not comfortable with chaperons present, but is your comfort worth this price? I know some models are reluctant to force the issue of chaperons being present, but is it worth this price? Had a third party been present, then she would not be crying herself to sleep every night.

If you are a model, do not go to a shoot with someone you don't know without a chaperon, regardless of how many checks you have done. If you are a legitimate photographer, then there is simply no excuse for objecting to a chaperon being present, even if not directly ion the room. Models, if a photographer objects to a chaperon being in the area, DON’T GO TO THE SHOOT!

If you are a sexual predator looking for your next victim, stay the hell away from Georgia. I will be a future chaperon for this lady whenever asked!
