I think that Roger and others have given you great advice. Remember to put them on your holiday greeting card list.
I am curious how this new product/service may impact your existing product mix. I think that it is safe to say that the scheduling of modeling shoots will most likely fall in the same time space as your conventional portrait work. Primarily from 4:00 pm to 8:00 pm during the week and during the day on weekends.
As indicated by others, there is not a truck load of money in shooting portfolios (though there are some that make a living at it). I guess my question is whether or not modeling work would conflict with the more profitable services that you already offer? Please keep us posted and let us know how it turns out.
On the positive side, shooting for this agency may actually help your marketing effort, particularly if you shoot seniors. You are absolutely correct that a lot of potential models are simply interested in photos that look 'modelish'. This activity could help you to build credibility for this market. Many photographers who already shoot seniors offer contemporary styled fashion images to this market.
A question for Roger: Should Robin expect for this agency to have their hand in her wallet? I am sure that the answer will differ depending on whether this agency is a modeling school or a commercial casting agency.
Best Regards,
Tom Collins
