Bill,

I have one of those so called "vigilante" websites though not related to models or photographers. I am going after the lack of action by city politicians and police. It has been a so so success even though it has received North American and European radio and print media attention.

I have some advice for you.

1) Get a lawyer. You are fooling yourself if you don't think you are going to be sued or set up. I am lucky as I have had lawyers volunteer to help me.

2) You are blacklisted. So am I but I am blacklisted exactly by the people I want to be blacklisted by. You have blacklisted yourself in the photography community. My experience is that it will get very nasty .

3) At best you have created an online gossip column unless you are prepared to back it up. If a model tells you that he/she was criminally touched during a shoot and you going to support them through the process. I knew from day one that I would be subject to arrest and a lawsuit and coneversly that I may have to do the same... and I will. I saw one of my supporters a few weeks ago almost killed while I was being interviewed by a radio reporter a few feet away. I would be the one responsible and I am prepared to take it on.

My site is cut and dry. I have photographs of the incidents. You have a lot of gray area that is only going to get you into ten times more trouble than I do.

Darren Stehr
