Let me start by saying that I REALLY like the picture you posted. I become more dismayed every day with the crap I see in the Glamour category. I must say that your image is certainly not CRAP. It's an artful shot that conveys some emotion and is much more than just a "here's my boobies" shot. Bravo!
That said, there are volumes of psychological research that say people find enlarged pupils more attractive. Many portrait photogs will actually enlarge them a little after a shoot. Enlarged pupils convey attraction and that "come hither" feeling that makes people think they have a shot with the model and she really does want you, thus making people buy things and look at ads.
