: With the colored contact lenses available now, I suppose anything is possible...

I hate to be the rain on the parade, but I don't find anything attractive about the eyes in the orig photo. On a PC the whites of her eyes are down right muddy, on a mac they appear reddish...I know it's hard to make accurate color comments because of the variance in monitors, but the whites of her eyes say "blah" to me. In respect to the color I see greenish and darker greenish. The catch light is too small and looks like it was the victim of an unsharp mask, the model's left eye (your right) looks like it could use some photoshopping or a reflector or both, it's far to dark under the lower lid.

Eyes have HUNDREDS of variations in color within them. This picture shows about two. Look at a good clear picture and you'll see the jagged fractal like variations in color, you'll see a pupil that isn't just a 100% black hole (it's not a solid transition into pupil).

As to the comment about color corrected contacts, you may find that they never have the same characteristics as an eye, they produce a muted look and almost never line up exactly. You're much better off shifting the hue in PS.

visit http://www.stocklandmartel.com for a chance to peruse some truly great photos...see what they do with eyes.

If you're looking for technique I suggest lighting eyes like you would to photograph a perfume bottle, not like the status quo of breasts here. I'm particularly fond of using kino flo banks, one below one above..it makes for unique catch lights. At a minimum I'd say, lots of light, big source.
