No problem with snapshots. They have their place. So does almost any other type of photography you care to mention.

What bothers me is people, like our friend here, who cling so tightly to one slice of a genre that they don't seem to appreciate a wider view of the medium.

Of course, sticking a name on a snapshot and calling it art HAS bothered me from time to time. But beauty ... and value ... are in the eye of the beholder.
