I shoot on manual most of the time, though I do use auto focus, just out of convenience. I like to think that I am smarter than my cameras, though there have been times that I have had to question that premise. I will shoot in priority or program if I am shooting action, just for the speed factor
I use flashes and reflectors, and prefer to have complete control in the studio, and then outdoors, natural light, with morning and evening being the best times. As a person who likes to sleep late, that means more sunsets than sunrises...
I make good use of my light and flash meters, and check them often to maintain consistency and quality.
