Any models who want to answer the question certainly are free to do so. Nothing I'm saying prohibits that.

But the internet is already full of plenty of bogeyman "dangers" that either aren't real or are blown way out of proportion. Real life in commercial advertising isn't an episode of Friends. In real life, the pharmaceutical manufacturers are as conservative and careful as any group I've run across. They insist that models understand and agree to use of their images for the particular purpose they state. They are worried about conflicts with other products - and interview the models to make sure there aren't any. They routinely reject models who have appeared in other pharmaceutical ads, and have even sued models and agencies for false statements about prior conflicts.

What they do NOT do is cruise the internet looking for TFP photographers to get cheap pictures from. The ones I work with (quite a few of them) don't use stock photos either.

It seems to me that posing questions that are based on sitcoms and not on the way the business really works is doing a disservice to models. You create the misimpression that there are dangers underneath every rock - presumably with some agenda in mind. By prohibiting responses from the people who actually know how this business works you are enforcing comment only from people who are ignorant - and respond to fears that have little basis in reality. The result is predictable.

Perhaps it would be wise to deal with the real dangers and processes in this business, and not invent new ones based on some comedy writer's imagination.
