Hi, I may have some techniques for you to try out. First of all we want to "age" the picture by using "Image-Adjust-Hue/Saturation". At this point it depends on preference, but I used these settings, "Hue: +15, Saturation: -36 to -56 (depending on how "old" you want it to look. The more you take out of the saturation, the older it looks, obviously) Lightness: +15. Now you should have a pretty faded and aged photo, but if you want a little extra kick, try this: Create a new layer and make sure that you have the default colors selected by pressing "D". Fill the new layer black. Now add noise. I used a value of about 43, but you can play with it and make sure Gaussion and monochromatic are selected. Now select the black with the magic wand tool and select similar to make sure you get all the black, then hit delete. Now we use "filter-distort-ripple" and used the max setting "999" and then hit ctrl+F 3x. Then hit "filter-sharpen-sharpen" once. I then put the new layers opacity to around 40%. Finally, select the layer with your image in it and hit "cntrl+F" to sharpen. This is optional, but I think it looks good. Now you should have a cool looking photo from the 70's!! LEt me know what you think of it.
