You should know inside if you have what it takes. I think it is helpful to honestly compare yourself to other (working/published)models and decide if you meet the physical criteria. Then decide if you have the personality that is required to model. I personally would never tell anyone if they do or don't have what it takes to model because I am sometimes amazed at the people-both men and women-that can make a living at modeling. More power to them I say! I do know that the people that make it generally have great amounts of tenacity, perseverance as well as a strong business sense and well-defined, realistic goals. If you start there, then you probably have what it takes to model. You do definitely need pictures...JT Smith gave you great advice-he offered to work with you too. If I were you, I would find a way to work with him or find someone of that caliber to work with in your area. You also have to be able to judge a photographer's work and decide if it is going to help you or hurt you. You don't need alot of bad pictures of yourself. You need a few very good ones to get noticed and started. If you are just starting, be careful! There are alot of people that will try to sell you ocean front property in Kansas...Good luck:)
