The feedback given by Roger is the most honest and accurate in this thread. Particularly the parts that outline human nature. Clients/bookers do not want to spend time poring through webpages. Most are too busy, some are too lazy. If they can make a one minute phone call and order a dozen 6 foot Chinese blondes on one day's notice, and then leave the work and the liability to the agency(ies), why should they go elsewhere?

The web has made a few (very few) hopefuls into working talent. It has been a godsend to porn producers and models. It also has become a place for aspiring as well as skilled photographers to hook up with aspiring as well as skilled models to produce images with little or no budget. Having a place to display work and get feedback from others is definitely a worthy educational tool.

BUT THE TRUTH IS:

In "the real world" of the entertainment industry, modeling included, the web is hardly being used. Things are done today as they were done thirty years ago. It worked then, it works now, and until someone can prove otherwise, it will continue thusly.

THAT BEING SAID:

Talent...if you want to work then get your 8x10s and put them in envelopes and mail them out. And follow up. And go to auditions. And go to industry functions. Get noticed !

Wake up. The world is full of cutie-pie blondes looking for fame and fortune. You are not likely to succeed by waiting by the phone. You need to get off your damn ass and work!
