Vericolor is great pro film but where do you get it anymore in 35mm, Kodak is replacing all 35mm pro film with Portra I don't care for this one, and Supera I'll be testing over the next few weeks, Kodachrome 25 is gone, Kodacolor gold 100 is gone. So what do we shoot? Kodak films, Fuji Films, Agfa Films are all compacting there pro films to a few cat numbers, because the Wal-Mart lines make the most return. I do like slide film and I will try more of that soon also... Maybe we should all fork over 7k for a DCS 760 and go digital..
Thank you for your input I do appreciate it.

: right off the bat, it sounds to me like the wrong choice of film, combined with under exposure, rather than over-exposure.
: Reala is a great film. But it is NOT known for being punchy or highly saturated. If you want those, you need another kind of film. I'd suggest Vericolor commercial.
: Secondly, under-exposing color negatives will make things muddy fast. I'd go for a slight over-exposure. Under-exposure by maybe a third stop works -- IF you are using reversal film.
: Finally, if you really want saturation, shoot slides. But you better get a really tight grip on exposure if you decide to do that.
